Description - The new transformer design of the "zero current lock" is based on the principle of a common mode choke. The transformer windings are connected in series with the two phases. One phase acts as a forward conductor, the other as a return conductor. In t he normal operating state, the total magnetic flux from phases R and T is zero, since the current in phase R is equal to the current in phase T and there is a phase offset of 180° between them. In the event of a fault, the currents in phase T and R are unequal in terms of their amplitude and possibly also in terms of their phase offset. Thus, the total magnetic flux in the transformer core is not equal to zero and a voltage induction takes place
